Our Mission
Our mission is simple. We aim to design, construct and successfully launch a hybrid rocket to the Karman Line; the official edge of space, 100 km above the Earth. Additionally, we hope to engage the research community of Bangladesh to further investigate rocketry for scientific and economic purposes, ushering a new era in development in Bangladesh.
Our Vision
We envision inspiring countless rocketry enthusiasts in Bangladesh with our efforts and setting new limits on what Bangladesh is able to achieve as a country.
Our
Achievements
AERD is delighted to share news of our recent successes. This includes the successful launch of our first weather balloon, Akashbani V1, in collaboration with the Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation (D2A2I) and the American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB) on January 12th, 2024. Once development is fully complete, we hope to open source the project to promote developmental activities in Bangladesh.
