AERD was born out of an idea; a desire to completely change the scene of rocketry and aerospace engineering in Bangladesh. We started around August 2023 with a young and hungry group of students, aiming to conquer the stars. We have been lucky to have success early on, by developing the first hybrid rocket engine in Bangladesh. Following that, we were also successful in launching the first weather balloon in Bangladesh, Akashbani V1. Currently, AERD is a collective of like minded and enthusiastic students of around 27 institutions and growing.
